How to Attract Customers with Facebook: The Very Basic Basics.

Dec 11, 2014 11:30:08 AM

Four years ago, the most common question we received as social media marketers was, “Why would I want to waste my time on Facebook?” Luckily, times have changed. (Today, the question is “Why would I want to waste my time on Instagram?”) Still, it’s an idea worth exploring. Why do you want to be on Facebook? I mean, really, no buzzwords, no cop out answers, what value does Facebook really bring to the table? ‘That’s where the people are’ just doesn’t cut it. Make Me Social partnered with Hubspot to try to find the best answer for that question.

Dec 1, 2014 10:00:00 AM

We are all die-hard social media users, but sometimes we need to power down…to power up.

Okay, we are all guilty of it. We are constantly checking our phone to the point where we are actually feeling “phantom vibrations” and are mistaking an itch on your leg for a text message.

The simple ritual of detaching yourself for even a short period of time will help you to regain your focus and boost your productivity. When I hit a brick wall with creativity, my go-to ritual is to put my phone on Do Not Disturb mode to help regain my sense of focus.

The Imoji App Lets Your Face Do The Talking In Your Text Messages

Aug 4, 2014 10:21:00 AM

Ok, I'll admit it: I like to use emojis while texting.

I know that not everyone is a fan of the little images you can insert into your conversations and there is nothing "adult" about using a smiley face with hearts for eyes to describe the meal you just ate while letting the little poop icon serve as a review for the movie you just walked out of (which, by the way, sends a mixed message since it has a smiley face ). YouTube Reigns Supreme as the "Most Popular Social Media Network" – Now Here’s How to Use It

Television is probably a thing of the past. What we naively called the ‘Second Screen’ in 2011 is now the ‘only screen.’ In ever-increasing numbers, people are “cutting the cord” and turning to the internet for video-based entertainment. Netflix and Hulu Plus are doing just fine, but YouTube is the “free option that has become the clear winner in this fight.
